Mrs. Wayland has won the competition against Mr. Chazen for the second year in a row by a margin of approximately 300-400 cans. She won last year by a similar amount, having collected more than 2,300 cans to Chazens 2,000, slightly more cans total than were collected this year. First Free Evangelical church has raised $65,000 for the organization International Partnership of Burkina Faso. Junior Maddy Brown personally raised $100. The money will go towards funding missionaries, paying for equipment to dig wells, as well as food and medical supplies that will be given to the African citizens of the land-locked town of Burkina Faso in West Africa. “Our goal is to help as many people as we can because these people can not help themselves. We want to help even just one person because we may not change the world, but we can change their world,” junior Maddy Brown said.
