What was your favorite part of being on staff? My favorite part of newspaper was the free schedule so that I could work at my own pace and the opportunities to meet new people when I went out to interview. I wish I could still fit the class in my schedule; it was great!

In honor of St. Louis’ 250th Birthday, 250 fiberglass cakes will be placed all over St. Louis on Feb. 14-16. Each location is a unique component that has made St. Louis’ past, present, and future. “My dad works at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel and it was one of the default locations for the cakes. He offered me the opportunity to decorate the cake and I said yes. It took me two to three days to finish the sketch, senior Kayla Smith said.

First Free Evangelical church has raised $65,000 for the organization International Partnership of Burkina Faso. Junior Maddy Brown personally raised $100. The money will go towards funding missionaries, paying for equipment to dig wells, as well as food and medical supplies that will be given to the African citizens of the land-locked town of Burkina Faso in West Africa. “Our goal is to help as many people as we can because these people can not help themselves. We want to help even just one person because we may not change the world, but we can change their world,” junior Maddy Brown said.
