“Tell me something about your mission trip to Bolivia.”

“On our first day, the children greeted us with hugs and kisses and performed a doom dance and sang for us. On the last day, they asked us if we would be coming back tomorrow. The children began to cry because we told them we had to go home. That’s the reason I left part of my heart in Bolivia.”

“What did you take out of your experience?”

“Gratitude. I have never met a happier or loving group of people who had much less than us. The walls of their houses were made from tarp with small pieces of wood to hold up. We take everything we have for granted.”

“Tell me what it was like to live in a different culture for three weeks.”

“We did not always understand each other, but we felt the same love for each other. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced before.”
