Claymont kindergardeners step off their new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bus hand-in-hand after a bus parade that ended in West’s parking lot. Parkway purchased 30 buses with a $1.5 million grant from the East-West Gateway Council of Governments, and is one of only two districts in the state of Missouri currently using CNG buses. The buses have many benefits, including fuel cost savings, fewer air pollutants and longer engine life. “I played the flute during the dedication ceremony. I think it’s fantastic, it is great that Parkway is becoming more green and focusing on the environment,” freshman Leah Egan said.
