Freshman girls win neon night game

Friday, Nov. 30, Neon Night, the freshman girls basketball team defeated the Parkway Central Colts 29-21.

With rotating captains, every players is given an opportunity at a leadership role. Once pre-game warm-up are complete, the game captain reminds the girls of plays, to have fun and stay positive.

“Before every game our coach talks to us in the locker room. Doing the warm-ups before every game makes me feel more prepared,” freshman Kyla Hatton said.

With a crowd of about 30, freshman Brittany Davega gave a pep talk before the Neon game, reminding the team of the game’s importance and the need to stay positive.

“I try to stay positive during the game to help the team. I do think it affect the team’s playing. Our team bonds by all watching the J.V. and varsity girls games,” Davega said.
